💭 Artist statement:
“This project explores the themes of minimalism & simplicity, while honing the characteristics of the different everyday elements forming the world around us. It’s the small everyday things which shape our character as humankind.”
01. Do you see it? 👀
Everyday begins with an opportunity, an opportunity to see the beauty in the simplest of things. The question is, Do you see it?
I’ve always had a passion in looking out for the tinier details as to what forms the world around us – whether I’d be through the way light is casted onto different objects at different times of day, or the influences of times & it’s people, tirelessly shapingeach and everyintricate detail into perfection. This very set of photographs, titled ‘Do you see it?’, challenges humanity’s perception on just that.

02. Total Defence: ⚡️ Singapore’s 57th birthday
This year’s theme, “Stronger together, Majulah!” calls Singaporeans in forging ahead as one strong & united people towards a better future, by coming together to form the bedrock of our nation’s strength & resilience, and enabling us to overcome all challenges big or small.
2022 sees the return of the Total Defense Display, underscoring the role of SAF in its efforts in protecting Singapore’s sovereignty and independence, through their showcase of nation owned technologically advanced assets – General Dynamics F16C/Ds, Boeing CH-47 ‘Chinook’s, etc. This was definitely the most adrenaline rushing set of photographs to shoot out of the three in this project. Also, Singapore’s own Red Lions parachuting? Yes please and thank you!

03. My Everyday Routine: Coffee ☕️
Long story short – Coffee photos you can taste & smell, shot over the weekend at local café chain, Coexist Coffee Co.
This is a set of photographs that you’d most likely see me shooting during my own free time – a congruous combination of my 2 most valued passions, photography & coffee, if I’d say so myself. For me, coffee isn’t just a drink, it’s literally a part of life, engrained in my everyday routine. Combine that with photographs filled with neutral tones & delicate textures? Yup, that’s me.
