321 NARRATIVE FILM - GROUP PROJECT | LOCATION FILMMAKING
Synopsis: A Husband in despair seeks out a pastor for guidance regarding his missing wife. However, a series of twists leads to one of them dead.
🌟 Assignment Objectives:
Use the visual language effectively to tell a story
• Organize pre-production paperwork planning.
• Demonstrate a practical understanding of the digital video camera and recording system.
• Produce and direct a single-camera video production including handling crew and talents.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of lighting in video production and lighting techniques using basic lighting equipment.
• Demonstrate a practical knowledge of basic location sound recording techniques, and audio post-production and mixing.
• Demonstrate a practical knowledge of non-linear video editing systems.
Work dynamically and creatively within a group
💭 Assignment Requirements:
The ‘321 project’ will consist of 3 pages, 2 characters & 1 location. Working in a group of 4-5 members, students will produce a video of 4 minutes in duration. Members may assume the following roles - producer, director, scriptwriter, camera operator, sound recordist & editor. All members of the group are collectively responsible for props, location scouting, make-up, wardrobe, casting, extras, and all other requirements of the project.
